A missed period doesn't necessarily mean you are pregnant. So, until you can verify that you are pregnant by having a medical-grade pregnancy test performed, try not to worry.
During your visit here at Savannah Care Center, your client advocate will run a free medical-grade pregnancy test. The tests we use are quality controlled and 99% accurate. It is best if the test is run at least one day after your missed period.
If your results are positive, you can be scheduled for a free limited ultrasound if you like.*
During this ultrasound, a licensed nurse trained in limited obstetrical ultrasounds will confirm that the pregnancy is located within the uterus, assess for cardiac activity, and determine the gestational age (how far along you are).
If your test is negative, our medical staff will review some of the more common reasons that could cause a missed period, as well as appropriate follow-up.
