Did you know that when dads get involved right from the start, they affect their child's health for a lifetime? Children with involved fathers have fewer behavioral problems, do better in school, have better mental health, and are less likely to use drugs or alcohol (National Fatherhood Initiative, 2022). When fathers are involved during pregnancy, moms are at lower risk for depression and stress, are more likely to receive prenatal care, and have healthier babies (National Fatherhood Initiative, 2022).
Being an involved dad is good for dads, too! Fathers say they have more life satisfaction and sense of purpose, have better mental and physical health, and make healthier life choices (National Fatherhood Initiative, 2024). If you’re a new dad, or about to become one, we have the tools you need to step into your role with confidence!
